This summer, we have the amazing opportunity to march an Elementary/Middle School Color Guard group in the CarmelFest July 4th Parade!

This is a great chance for younger guard enthusiasts to get a better idea of the joys of performance!  There will be five rehearsals conducted by Carmel JV Guard staff members, in order to teach interested kids a flag and rifle routine for the parade.

*RECRUITING BOYS Grades 1-8 to spin RIFLE in the 2016 CarmelFest July 4th Parade*

We strongly encourage EVERYONE to participate! It will be an experience you will not want to miss!

Who? Any girl OR boy in CCS, grades 1-8 who wants to participate in the color guard experience, spin flags & rifles and march in a parade!

What?  The CarmelFest July 4th Parade

When?  Rehearsals will be held on these dates at Carmel High School:

• June 1st: 6-8
• June 8th: 6-8 p.m.
• June 15th: 6-8
• June 22nd: 6-8 p.m.
• June 29th: 6-8 p.m.

Parade—-July 4th: approx. 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Cost?  $40-includes a t-shirt for marchers!

If your daughter OR son is interested in participating, please email us their name, age and grade at: guard@carmelbands.org by May 31!

Don’t forget the following:

1. 1. BRING A FULL WATER JUG. Drink lots of water before rehearsal too.
2. 2. WEAR ATHLETIC SHOES.
3. 3. MEET in FIELDHOUSE at H.S.
4. 4. BRING A FRIEND, if you still know someone that wants to audition… especially BOYS !! Next week will be the cut off

If for some reason you are NO LONGER wanting to take a position with the color guard or cannot be at rehearsal this week, please contact Rosie Queen immediately to notify her… rosiequeen@mac.com.

Don’t forget the Parent Meeting on May 17th, Tuesday night at 6:00pm in Freshman Cafeteria at the High School… remind your parents! They can drop you off at practice by the stadium and then head to the meeting.
