Jazz at the Ritz – FRIDAY – MARCH 18 Make this event possible by volunteering at http://ritzjazzvolunteers.eventbrite.com/ The Carmel High School Jazz Bands, with their special guest vocalist Ann Conrad, are pleased to announce “Jazz at the Ritz”, to be held on Friday, March 18 in the ball room at The Ritz-Charles on 12156 North Meridian Street. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with dessert, soft drinks, and coffee, and live jazz starts at 7:30 p.m. Four Jazz Bands, featuring over 100 talented musicians, will bring their unique blend of technical excellence and soulful delivery to the stage. The soft glow of crystal chandeliers, comfortable table-seating, and spacious dance floor are sure to provide an elegant and entertaining evening for all. Whether you like swing, bebop, cool, or jazz-rock fusion, this night has it all. Tickets go on sale THURSDAY MARCH 3 at the Carmel High School Bookstore during regular school hours and tickets are also available online NOW at http://jazzritz.eventbrite.com We sold out last year’s event. If available, any remaining tickets will be sold at the door. All tickets are $15, General Admission, with free parking. Important Reminders The $40 jazz program fees are now due. They can be sent to CHS Band Boosters, PO Box 65, Carmel, IN 46082 Please note that all old Marching Band fees need to be caught up prior to the start of the new season. Newest statements will be coming out within the next week. If your account is $0, you will not be receiving a statement. If you believe you may have a balance but have not received a statement, please email financialsecretary@carmelbands.org to make sure that we have your current email address Sophomore and Junior Parents—If your child is interested in trying out for Drum Major and missed the call out meeting today, an informational flyer can be downloaded from the Marching Band page on the website at http://mail.carmelbands.org/edgedesk/cgi-bin/www.carmelbands.org IMPORTANT MACY’s TRIP INFORMATION ATTENTION PARENTS A trip payment was due March 1st; however, the Music Travel log in site has been down for a couple of days and they’re not sure when it will be back up. Yesterday was the deadline to have money in your and/or your student’s account for Wicked tickets. Each account must have a miniimum of $225. Music travel is aware of the situation and has extended the deadline until they get their site back up. If you have not already made your March payment or have paid less than the required $225 minimum balance due at this time, please check the website this evening. If it is still down, try again tommorrow to make payment as soon as the site is back up.
